SAINT PAUL, MN (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Bethel University senior Jay Slick from River Falls, WI, was honored among an elite group of student athletes as one of the 15-player First Team All-Region players. The title came from the announcement of the 2012 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) / RAWLINGS Division III All-Midwest Region baseball teams in the final days of 2012 NCAA Division III baseball.
Slick was one of two catchers on the All-Midwest Region Second Team and it was the third time in his career that he was selected to an ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region Team. Slick will go down as one of the best four-year contributors in Bethel University history, as he owns the highest on-base percentage (.498), second most doubles (39), third most runs batted in (125), third most runs scored (135), third most total bases, fourth most hits (182), fourth highest batting average (.386), sixth most home runs (13), eighth most at-bats (472), and eighth highest slugging percentage (.581).
