The American International College Department of Athletics named its 2024-25 award winners in a ceremony on Thursday, April 17.
The Robert Burke Athletic Director's Award, which recognizes a male and female student-athlete who demonstrates commitment to community service and outstanding performance or competitive improvement over an athletic career, was granted to Alice Di Francesco of women's volleyball and Anderson Cuello Batista of baseball. Di Francesco, who did not play at all her first season, was a two-time NE10 All-Conference selection at setter and earned Academic All-Conference as well as CSC Academic All-District accolades in her career. Cuello Batista has grown into the closer role on AIC's pitching staff and has also contributed significantly to AIC's award-winning Home Run for the Hungry campaign.
