LOCK HAVEN, PA (06/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University students learned how to make a difference in the lives of many individuals this spring semester. Dr. Marlene Jensen's Internet Marketing class created webpages to showcase LHU students making a difference.
One of the students involved in the marketing project was Lansdowne resident Robert Sims. Rob worked with Alicia Cacciotti and Bradin Carter, to create a webpage about an LHU student who created the first Lock Haven University anti-bullying campaign.
Dr. Marlene Jensen, Assistant Professor Marketing and Entrepreneurship, started this as a project for her Internet Marketing students. According to Dr. Jensen, "LHU's internet marketing students were inspired by the activities of the students they interviewed. And they were delighted their marketing skills could be used to promote such great activities!"
One of the "making a difference" web pages showcases students working with Upward Bound. Other sites focus on involvement in an art and science program, a program working with disabled children, and even water quality issues. Working on their webpage designs, Dr. Jensen's students learned more about student involvement and developed their interviewing and web skills.
