Roderick Davenport Named CIAA Rookie of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. (10/23/2012)(readMedia)-- Freshman running back Roderick Davenport (Orangeburg, S.C.) of Saint Augustine's University was named CIAA football rookie of the week on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012.
Davenport scored on a one-yard run to help the Falcons gain a 34-28 homecoming win over Fayetteville State University in three overtimes on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. The touchdown was the ninth of the season for Davenport, who is tied for third in the CIAA in rushing touchdowns.
Davenport averages 4.8 yards per carry which is the highest on the team. He ranks 10th in the league in rushing.
