GLOVERSVILLE, NY (04/23/2014)(readMedia)-- Ruby & Quiri donates to Littauer Foundation, kicking off The Event
JOHNSTOWN – The Nathan Littauer Foundation received a gift card from Richard Ruby, Sr., of Ruby & Quiri in Johnstown, as an incentive for an early bird drawing. Those who RSVP for the Foundation's Event before May 16 are entitled to a chance at a $500 shopping spree.
"We are grateful for this donation which is helping us kick-off the Foundation's annual fundraiser, The Event" said Geoffrey Peck Vice President and Executive Director of the Nathan Littauer Foundation.
The Event is being held Friday, May 30 beginning at 7 p.m. at The Eccentric Club, in Gloversville. This year, patrons can enjoy "An Evening in Oz" where all things "Oz," created by L Frank Baum will be brought to life. The Event is an ever-changing gala to benefit Nathan Littauer Hospital. Each year a theme is chosen, and the experience is created around that theme. Do not miss The Event, as this theme will undoubtedly be the talk of the town for many years to come.
This year, the Foundations fundraising campaign will be highlighting "there's no place like home" for excellence in health care.
"Throughout the year we will be showcasing the phenomenal health care available at home here with the Nathan Littauer network of services and providers" said Kelly Colby, one of the organizers of The Event.
Guests often choose to attend The Event in evening wear or costume. Patron tickets are $250 per person, general admission tickets are $125 per person and for those 40 years and younger, tickets are $75 per person or two for $125. For more information contact Kelly Colby at 773-5505.
"This is a great party for a great cause" said Richard Ruby, Sr. "Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to get out and support our community."
