Ryan Bankert Wins William B. Johnson Internship Award at Washington College

CHESTERTOWN, MD (06/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Ryan J. Bankert '13, son of Jeffrey and Melissa Bankert, Manheim, PA, is the recipient of the William B. Johnson Business Internship Award. The Johnson Business Internship Award offers several awards of up to $2,500 to help highly motivated, business-minded students focus on their internships and is funded by the family of William B. Johnson '40 H'75, in honor of his achievements.

This summer, Bankert will be working for Option TI, a digital marketing firm in Santiago, Chile. Not only will his internship focus on social media, he will be doing research for his senior thesis about marketing to a Hispanic population in the United States.

Bankert is majoring in Business Management and Hispanic Studies. He is active in the Spanish Club, the Volleyball Club, Students in Free Enterprise, Sigma Delta Pi national Hispanic honor society, and the Douglass Cater Society of Junior Fellows honor society. He graduated from Manheim Central High School.
