Ryan Marcano earns Oglethorpe University Male Athlete of the Week

Senior forward Ryan Marcano of the Oglethorpe men's soccer team has been named the Oglethorpe Male Athlete of the Week. A Business Administration major, Marcano is a graduate of Greater Atlanta Christian School.

Marcano scored both goals in a key SAA road win over Sewanee on Saturday, with the Stormy Petrels defeating the Tigers 2-1 in Tennessee. That moved the Petrel striker to four goals on the season.

He and the rest of his team will host a pair of Southern Athletic Association games over the weekend. They'll take on Birmingham-Southern College on Friday at 7 p.m. and Millsaps College on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
