SUNY Delhi Announces Presidential Scholars

DELHI, NY (01/04/2017)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi recognized a new class of Presidential Scholars during a reception on September 27 in Sanford Hall.

"I am pleased to welcome this year's Presidential Scholar selections," said SUNY Delhi President Michael R. Laliberte. "This is an opportunity to recognize and reward the highest achieving students from across New York State. These 16 individuals join Delhi's most academically-qualified class to date."

Each of the following SUNY Delhi Presidential Scholars received a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition (less New York State TAP and SUNY tuition credit) to attend SUNY Delhi:

• Nikayla Bourne, a Nursing major from Richfield Springs

• Megan Dengler, a Veterinary Science Technology major from South Kortright

• Emilie DeSalvo, a Nursing major from Kingston

• Kaleigh Fairchild, a Veterinary Science Technology major from Sherburne

• Bailey Farley, a Nursing major from Jordanville

• Jordan Fragale, a Business and Technology Management major from Baldwinsville

• Brittney Freer, Nursing major from Narrowsburg

• Megan Hebbard, an undeclared major from DeLancey

• Brook LaTourette, a Mechatronics Design major from Downsville

• Jenna Lutz, A Nursing major from East Meredith

• Jessica Martin, a Nursing major from Hancock

• Anastasia Nikula, a Nursing major from Windsor

• Katie Perry, A Veterinary Science Technology major from Richford

• Justin Rabjohn, an Architectural Technology major from Brockport

• Emily Richards, a Hotel and Resort Management major from Groton

• Shamyah Starks, a Culinary Arts major from Rochester

• Cade Stevens, a Business and Professional Golf Management major from Gouverneur

To be eligible, students must obtain a Regents diploma with a high school G.P.A. of at least 90 or above. Presidential Scholars must maintain a G.P.A. of 3.3 while attending SUNY Delhi to continue their scholarship status.
