Program Part of College's Constitution Day Celebration

DELHI, NY (09/07/2016)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi will host a campus open forum "The Electoral College and the Constitution" Tuesday, September 13, 6:30 p.m in The Okun Theatre in the Farrell Student and Community Center.

This open forum explores the U.S. Constitution by discussing the pros and cons of the Electoral College and how it has the potential to influence the upcoming presidential election.

Assistant Professor Daniel Gashler will present "The Electoral College: Unmaking America Great (Again)," and Assistant Professor Marc Evans will present "The Electoral College: Power to the People!"

The program is free and open to the public and part of the college's 13th Annual Constitution Day, which celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Voter registration information and applications will be available at the event.
