DELHI, NY (02/16/2018) (readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi's Criminal Justice program ranks number five among the 50 most affordable online criminal justice degree programs in the U.S. according to www.greatvaluecolleges.net. "This recognition shows that SUNY Delhi continues to excel in delivering online education at high quality while maintaining affordability," said SUNY Delhi Provost Kelli Ligeikis. "Delhi was recently named a leader in online education for the fifth consecutive year by U.S. News."

Through both experiential learning and theory, Delhi's Criminal Justice Studies baccalaureate program provides students with the academic foundation needed to pursue a variety of options in their field. Students will complete coursework in the areas identified by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, the field's most respected professional and certifying organization. These areas include administration of justice, corrections, criminology theory, law adjudication, law enforcement, and research and analytical methods.

"Students in the B.S. in Criminal Justice program are taught by experts in various areas in the field of Criminal Justice," said Patricia A. DeAngelis, J.D., Program Director and Professor of Criminal Justice at SUNY Delhi. "The fact that our students are graduating from our online and on-campus programs, and are moving on to great educational institutions to pursue graduate and law degrees, is proof that they are getting the foundation and preparation they need to excel far beyond Delhi. Our programs prepare students for the real world, and give them a solid foundation if they wish to enter the workforce upon graduation or seek higher education that will help ensure they have a competitive edge in the job market."

Graduates are prepared to enter directly into employment or graduate study in the areas of criminal justice, public safety, criminal investigation, private security, political science or law. Students may study full- or part-time and will have ready access to academic advisement, support services, and financial aid advisement.

SUNY Delhi students may obtain their baccalaureate degree while living on the SUNY Delhi campus. In addition, they can also earn the degree while taking courses on an off-site location at Schenectady County Community College.

The list of the top 50 affordable online criminal justice degree programs (bachelor's) in 2018 was compiled using tuition, student to faculty ratio, and national recognition.
