SUNY Geneseo Senior Andreas Meyris Wins Best-Paper Prize at Undergraduate Research Conference

GENESEO, NY (05/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Andreas Meyris, a senior history major at SUNY Geneseo from Rochester, N.Y. (14616), won a best-paper prize at the recent Phi Alpha Theta undergraduate research conference in Buffalo, N.Y.

Meyris' paper was titled "The Common Ground of the Ballot Box: Defining Americanism in Post World War I America."

Meyris was mentored by Kathleen Mapes, associate professor of history at SUNY Geneseo.

Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society is a charter member of the Association of College Honor Societies and has more than 350,000 members and 860 local chapters.
