SUNY Geneseo Senior Daniel Bailey Wins Best-Paper Prize at Undergraduate Research Conference

GENESEO, NY (05/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Daniel Bailey, a senior history major at SUNY Geneseo from Pittsford, N.Y. (14534), won a best-paper prize at the recent Phi Alpha Theta undergraduate research conference in Buffalo, N.Y.

Bailey's paper was titled "'Stop, Stop, Stop the Board from Making the Buses Go': The Fight for and Against School Integration in Rochester."

Bailey was mentored by Emilye Crosby, professor of history at SUNY Geneseo.

Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. The society is a charter member of the Association of College Honor Societies and has more than 350,000 members and 860 local chapters.
