PLATTSBURGH, NY (01/30/2009)(readMedia)-- Students wishing to enter a graduate program at SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall semester of 2009 have until Feb. 15 to apply. At that time, applications for graduate study, graduate assistantships and Graduate Diversity Fellowships are due.
Because each graduate degree program has its own entrance requirements, those wishing to apply are encouraged to contact the Graduate Admissions Office. They may also go online at www.plattsburgh.edu to search for their program of choice and its specific requirements, including prerequisites, entrance exams (Graduate Record Exam, Miller Analogies Test, etc.), interview days and more.
Regardless of program, all applicants for graduate study at SUNY Plattsburgh must submit a completed application form, a statement of purpose, a $75 application fee, three letters of recommendation and their official undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts.
Students whose native language is not English must submit official documentation of their Test of English as a Foreign Language score. Candidates must have scored at or above the following levels on the TOEFL: 550 on the paper-based test, 79-80 on the Internet-based test; or 213 on computer-based test. International applicants must also provide official bank documentation of financial support, showing the specific amount in U.S. dollars available to finance their educational and living expenses.
