"Business etiquette is important for our students to know because it gives them confidence in social situations," said Church, chair of the college's marketing and entrepreneurship program and faculty advisor for the marketing club. "Whether students are being interviewed; are dining with a prospective employer or clients; or are working in a business setting as interns or professionals; it helps to know the basic rules of etiquette."

Church added that "some aspects of etiquette, such as proper dining, are not being taught at home anymore so it is important for individuals to learn the fundamentals so they can navigate in social situations more successfully."

According to Church, the marketing club has offered the etiquette seminars for more than 20 years. For nearly all of those years, College Auxiliary Services, sponsor of this year's program, has provided support. To learn more or to R.S.V.P., contact Church at 518-564-4169.
