POTSDAM, NY (07/22/2015)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Jane Morale '80 and Glen Zagorski '87 with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award at the College's annual Reunion Weekend.

The Distinguished Service Award is presented to alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the Alumni Association and/or the College. The couple was honored for their unwavering devotion and dedication as volunteers, as well as their generosity as donors to their alma mater.

Jane Morale and Glen Zagorski are among SUNY Potsdam's most dedicated volunteers and generous donors. Whether it's through service on an alumni board or Greek Life committee, or as reunion chairs, or as benefactors of an endowed scholarship, they have always given their heart and soul in support of their alma mater.

Both Morale and Zagorski were both highly involved in all aspects of campus life, and most especially, Greek Life, as Jane is a sister of the Agonian Sorority and Glen a brother in Psi Phi Delta Fraternity. She majored in music education, while he studied computer science.

Both Morale and Zagorski attend alumni regional events whenever possible, attend Reunion Weekend annually (each having served as class chairs), serve on the Greek Alumni Council and are leadership donors for the Take the Lead Campaign. Morale has also been active as an Annual Giving volunteer, a board member, vice president of the Ago Alumnae Association and chairperson of the Ago Alumnae Board of Directors. Zagorski was the president of the Psi Phi Delta Alumni Association for many years, and was also an active member of the Psi Phi Delta Housing Board.

As the orchestra director and string instrument instructor at Webster Spry Middle School, Morale constantly serves as SUNY Potsdam's cheerleader, encouraging her students to attend her alma mater and recruiting many talented students for The Crane School of Music. Zagorski is an IT manager at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics.

The couple continuously provides support and inspiration to current undergraduate students. Morale previously served as the housemother for her sorority, and Zagorski has been a featured presenter at Student Leadership Conferences.

With the shared knowledge of the positive impact a strong Greek Life community can have on a student's college experience, the couple endowed the Morale-Zagorski Greek Life Internship Scholarship. Hosted by the Department of Campus Life, the Morale-Zagorski Intern works to promote a positive Greek experience for students at SUNY Potsdam.
