SUNY Potsdam alumna Tracy Eisenberg ’01 will return to her alma mater for a residency in the Department of Theatre and Dance next week.

POTSDAM, NY (04/03/2015)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Potsdam Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to offer an upcoming residency by an accomplished alumna, Tracy Eisenberg '01, who will visit her alma mater from April 8 to April 11.

Eisenberg graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in both dance and English writing in 2001, and has since worked as a choreographer, dancer, arts performance producer and non-profit administrator.

She will teach classes and review and respond to student choreographers' works, as they prepare for an upcoming June 6 performance in New York City.

In 2008, Ms. Eisenberg developed a showcase for choreography, called "Ready or Not." Her goal is to offer choreographers a venue to present works in progress to a new audience, gain feedback and network with others in the dance community.

Eisenberg and the Department and Theatre and Dance believe that engaging SUNY Potsdam dancers in "Ready or Not" could be a beneficial and supportive first foray into the process of presenting and applying for curated choreography showcases.

"As a graduate of the Department of Theatre and Dance, I know that this commitment to facilitating opportunities for artistic growth remains unwavering on the part of the SUNY Potsdam dance faculty," Eisenberg said.

She hopes to select two student choreographed works to join the roster of other dances for the "Ready or Not" presentation, to be held on June 6 at 100 Grand Street, New York City.
