POTSDAM, NY (09/11/2015)(readMedia)-- Potsdam Auxiliary and College Educational Services is proud to announce that SUNY Potsdam has once again been ranked No. 1 in the State University of New York system for dining services.

The 2015 SUNY Student Opinion Survey, which rates the 27 state-operated colleges and university centers in SUNY, once again found that Potsdam was the top campus for student satisfaction with dining services. The SOS project collects information and opinions every three years, and uses the information to assess and study quality of life issues on SUNY campuses.

"I am thrilled to congratulate PACES Dining Services on another No. 1 ranking. SUNY Potsdam is so proud to be able to offer our students, faculty and visitors the best campus dining experience in the State University of New York," President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg said.

The SUNY System Administration Office of Institutional Research and Analysis conducts the survey. The SOS survey findings are important because, unlike other studies, they rank customer satisfaction against the other 26 state-operated SUNY institutions.

"Without our students, this would not be possible. I would also like to thank all my staff, who are here day in and day out, making sure we are providing excellent service and top-quality food to serve our student body," PACES Director of Dining Services Pat Gray said.

In 2014, PACES ranked 39th in the country in the Best Campus Food Survey by Niche. The survey ranks 1,175 colleges based on meal plan cost and more than 470,000 opinions submitted by 64,000 students.

PACES Executive Director Daniel J. Hayes credited the PACES Board of Directors for their leadership and the students for their continued support of the program. Gray also credited staff and employees who continue to innovate and respond to student feedback, which is the cornerstone of the program's success.

PACES is planning a special campus celebration on Thursday, Oct. 8, in conjunction with The College Store's National Student Day event.

PACES is a proud supporter of local businesses, seeking business collaborations and purchasing as much from regional and NYS producers and suppliers as possible. To learn more about PACES' commitment to serving fresh local food, check out this video on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch.
