Sacramento native Bridget Tescher presents at Murdock College Science Research Conference
WALLA WALLA, WA (11/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Sacramento native Bridget Tescher recently presented her findings on fossil scanning at the Murdock College Science Research Conference at Whitman College.
Tescher recently did a summer internship with Dr. Pat Spencer in the Geology department at Whitman College where she scanned fossils for gastic etching and wear patterns. Tescher is writing her senior thesis on reconstructing the paleoenvironment of south eastern Washington during the late Pleistocene era (16,000-11,000 years ago), and is using the photos from her summer internship in her thesis, as well as in a blog she writes for.
Before college, Tescher lived with her father and grandmother, Andrew and Kathy Tescher of Sacremento, CA. She is a graduate of Mira Loma High School.
At Whitman, Tescher is a junior Geology-Philosophy double major. She plays the cello and works at Kid's Place Pre-school. She also writes for the Whitman Pioneer, the school's newspaper.
