ALBANY, NY (10/26/2021) (readMedia)-- Wednesday October 27th a group of senior Volunteers will help to put together over 1000 bags full of Halloween candy. Almost 10 thousand dollars worth of candy and snacks.
The special occasion is this Sunday October 31st. The event is "Halloween Safe Night Out" and any child or teen can stop by two City locations from 2PM til 5 PM ad receive a bag filled with candy. This enables city children to be safe and go home with a large bag of candy.
Children can come to Albany Police Station located on Henry Johnson Blvd. or Parking lot across from City Mission on South
Pearl St.
For the last 12 years this event has been a staple for the city ensuring the welfare of children and teens living in the city.
This year more bags then previous years will be handed out and bags will be delivered to group homes throughout the city.
Pastor Charlie along with Albany DA and Albany Police officers will be handing out bags and interacting with those who come by.
