SafeSchoolsNY™ - Improved School Safety Software Just announced by Educational Vistas, Inc.

ALBANY, NY (02/11/2013)(readMedia)-- Educational Vistas, Inc. (EVI) today announced the introduction of SafeSchoolsNY™, its new suite of school safety software.

"This program has been designed to accommodate all latest school security recommendations from Governor Cuomo and President Obama," says Scott Crowder, CEO of EVI. "These are now managed, tracked and available on-demand to administrators and security personnel."

Built on the #1 web-based program for all NY State required VADIR*, DASA** and discipline tracking and reporting, SafeSchoolsNY™ is now the most complete management system for school safety and security. Since SafeSchoolsNY™ links to any school's student information system (SIS), student demographic and program data stay up to date and accurate.

In addition, a new iWitnessNY™ option allows schools to receive anonymous threat warnings that are immediately forwarded to security staff for action. This "see something, say something" process allows the community as well as staff, students and parents to report potential acts of violence before they occur. Because of the anonymous nature of the warning, it is hoped that more people will come forward with information that can help keep schools safe. Each school may decide whether or not to enable this new feature.

Crowder added, "All of our existing clients with our VADIRS™ program have been upgraded to the new product at no additional cost. The full program can be implemented for new clients in five days or less."

*VADIR is New York State's Violent and Disruptive Incident Reporting Act.
