Salem, N.H. Student's Work Recognized by American Society for Microbiology

HAMDEN, CT (11/05/2009)(readMedia)-- Catherine Fricano of Salem, N.H., a psychobiology student at Quinnipiac University, was recognized by the American Society for Microbiology for her research.

Fricano's project, "Identifying the Species of Bacteria excised From Fundulus hetoclitus Located in High, Medium, and Low Impact Areas of the Long Island Sound," was honored as one of the top four projects at the organization's 44th annual region I meeting in Cromwell, Conn. late last month.

Fricano was rewarded with an award certificate and a cash prize.
