Salve Regina students complete 2023-2024 Nuala Pell Leadership Program

Seven undergraduate students from Salve Regina University completed the 2023-2024 Nuala Pell Student Leadership Program, an innovative leadership development program run by the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy at Salve named in honor of the wife of U.S. Senator Claiborne Pell.

In spring of 2024 Beatriz Ferreira ('24), Bilal Omar Omari ('24), Camilla Watts ('25), Emma McGrillen ('25), Margaret Hansen ('25), Omar Kaziz ('25) and Renee Dube ('25) completed the program, which focuses on leadership development for the twenty-first century through monthly meetings where students explore leadership theory, ethics, evolution of public issues and what it takes to be a leader in the public sector. The cohort also traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with Rhode Island's congressional delegation and other public leaders to mark the culmination of their participation in the yearlong, public service-focused program.
