Sammamish native presents research at annual undergraduate conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (04/26/2012)(readMedia)-- Elizabeth Hambleton of Sammamish, Wash. recently presented a paper at the annual Whitman College Undergraduate Conference on Tuesday, April 10. Her presentation examined the origins of Esperanto, a language invented in the 1880s in order to bridge communicative barriers.

Hambleton, the daughter of Bert and Melissa Hambleton, is a 2009 graduate of Eastside Catholic High School. She is currently a junior anthropology and music theory major at Whitman.

The undergraduate conference is an annual opportunity for Whitman students to share their research and creative projects with the community. Presentations are given by students in all disciplines.
