WHITTER, CA (08/01/2013)(readMedia)-- San Diego native Christina Gunning was named to the Spring 2013 Dean's List in recognition of her academic excellence. The English Language and Literature major graduated Magna Cum Laude on May 17.
Gunning was also named Outstanding Graduate in her major and won second place in the scholarly writing category for her essay, "What do We Do With the Children? Victorian Attitudes towards Childhood in Treasure Island and Peter and Wendy?," during the Spring 2013 Honors Convocation.
Undergraduate students are awarded Dean's List honors if he or she earns a 3.70 grade point average (GPA) while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall and spring terms.
