Santa Rosa native Alex Brott pursues project for peace after graduation from Whitman College

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Alex Brott of Santa Rosa, Calif. was honored with an award after his graduation from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Brott was selected to receive a Davis Projects for Peace Award. These awards, which were established six years ago by Kathryn Davis, allow students to design grassroots summer projects to break down barriers between cultures. Brott will be going to Israel for his project, which is titled "Coalition for Peace Through Music."

Brott is a 2009 graduate of Montgomery High School. He received a B.A. in Politics-Environmental Studies during the Whitman commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
