Sarah Franklin Inducted into Sigma Xi at Washington College

CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/25/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Sarah Franklin '12, daughter of Johnnie and Gary Franklin, Lothian, MD, was inducted into Sigma XI. Sigma Xi is a scientific research society founded in 1886 to honor excellence in scientific investigation and encourage a sense of companionship and cooperation among researchers in all fields of science and engineering.
Franklin is majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She is active in the Beta Beta Beta biological honor society and Gamma Eta chemistry honor society. Franklin is a local committee head of the Service Council, the historian of Health Occupations Students of America, and a peer mentor. She graduated from Annapolis Area Christian School.
Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
