Saratoga Chef David Britton Returns to Dinner: Impossible

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (07/20/2007)(readMedia)-- On Sunday (July 22), Chef David Britton, managing partner of the Saratoga Polo Catering and Events and the Springwater Bistro, returns to assist celebrity Chef Robert Irvine in a new episode of Irvine’s popular television program, Dinner: Impossible. The show airs at 10 p.m. on the Food Network. This time, Chef Britton joins Chef Irvine as his sous chef at a Chicago White Sox game, where their challenge is to prepare a gourmet meal for 150 fans using food from the commissary warehouse. Among the foods chosen to be part of the dinner: bratwurst, corned beef, chicken wings and margarita mix. The meal had to be finished by the 7th-inning stretch. Chef Britton first appeared on the show in May when the team was challenged to prepare a meal for 850 Marines in eight hours. In September, Chef Irvine is scheduled to be at the Saratoga Polo Association for the Saratoga P.L.A.N.’s (Preserving Land And Nature) annual Feast of the Fields, an event organized by Chef Britton that pairs local farm products with celebrated chefs. Chef Irvine has participated in the event in both 2005 and 2006. For more information, or to order tickets to the benefit, visit www.saratogaplan.org
