Satellite Feed Today at 3:45 p.m.: New 'E-ZPass-Only' Interchange Opens in Bucks County

Eastbound on/off ramps opened at 1 p.m. linking Interstate 276 and State Route 132 (Street Road).

HARRISBURG, PA (11/22/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pa. Satellite News Service will provide a 3:45 p.m. feed of this morning's opening of a new Pennsylvania Turnpike E-ZPass Only Interchange in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, approximately one-half mile east of the Bensalem Interchange (Exit #351).

The new All Electronic Interchange (AEI) -- called the Street Road Interchange (Exit #352) -- will only accommodate eastbound entering and eastbound exiting traffic and offer direct Pa. Turnpike access via Street Road (State Route 132) between the Parx Casino, Bensalem, Pa., and U.S. Route 1.

The unstaffed interchange will help reduce congestion at the Bensalem Interchange – the Turnpike's second busiest toll plaza with average daily traffic of 65,000 vehicles (combined exiting and entering).

VIDEO: Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Chief Operating Officer George Hatalowich speaking at the podium and b-roll of the ribbon cutting which happened at 11:45 this morning. Also, there is b-roll of the interchange and the approach signage.
