Satellite Feed Today at 4:00 p.m.: Pa. Turnpike Travelers Reminded of Yesterday's Toll Hike
New incentive means E-ZPass holders now pay 7 percent less than cash customers on Pa. Turnpike
HARRISBURG, PA (01/03/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pa. Satellite News Service will provide a 4:00 p.m. satellite feed today to remind Turnpike travelers that tolls went up on the Pennsylvania Turnpike yesterday; motorists can now take advantage of E-ZPass incentives that, for the first time, represent a sizeable difference compared to cash rates.
E-ZPass customers (about two-thirds of all Pennsylvania Turnpike users) will now pay just three percent more compared to a 10-percent increase for cash-paying motorists. Under the new rates, the most-common Turnpike toll jumped from $1 to $1.10 for cash-paying motorists and from 97 cents to $1 for those with E-ZPass.
