HAMDEN, CT (11/11/2011)(readMedia)-- Scott Pollak, of N.Y., N.Y., received the Quinnipiac University School of Business' Outstanding Business Alumni Award at Quinnipiac's Business Leader Hall of Fame induction on Nov. 3 at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.

This award recognizes alumni for their engagement in the lives of current students, their help with internship placements and their service as mentors to Quinnipiac students.

In addition, the School of Business inducted David M. Darst, managing director and chief investment strategist at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and James W. McGlothlin, chairman & CEO of The United Company to its Business Leader Hall of Fame, which strives to recognize the best and brightest leaders who serve as inspirational figures for young people entering the world of business.

Pollak is a managing director for capital markets and solutions at Citi. Previously, he served as the director of investor relations at Rinker Materials and director of equity trading at M.S. Howells & Co.

An active and supportive alumnus, Pollak is a member of the School of Business' New York City Advisory Committee and volunteers his time as a featured speaker in Quinnipiac's Career Talk in the City series. Pollak, a former Quinnipiac hockey player, also created an endowed fund to support excellence in the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program.

Pollak graduated from Quinnipiac in 1996 with a bachelor's of science in accounting.
