Second Annual ArtSoirée to Benefit Berkshire Country Day School Financial Aid
LENOX, MA (04/04/2012)(readMedia)-- On Saturday, May 5, the second annual ArtSoirée - A Cinco de Mayo Celebration of the Arts will be held at Stonover Farm in Lenox, to benefit the Financial Aid Fund at Berkshire Country Day School.
BCD provides financial aid for over 25 percent of its students and takes pride in its inclusive community and its economic diversity. As Head of School Paul Lindenmaier pledged, "We are committed to offering financial aid to families who could not otherwise afford a BCD education."
A silent auction of over 80 items will include one-of-a-kind works of art by noted artists Cynthia Wick, Sue and Phil Knoll, Nancy Ghitman, Zohar Lazar and many others. Several live auction items will include VIP tickets to the sold-out James Taylor concert held in July at Tanglewood.
Famed Brazilian guitarist Richard Boukas opens the evening followed by a Latin inspired band. Kate Kapteyn Baldwin, a BCD graduate, and other area establishments will provide hors d'oeuvres. A signature cocktail will be created by Tyler and Chris Weld of Berkshire Mountain Distillers.
The evening begins at 5:30 pm with a cocktail reception for underwriters, patrons, and sponsors. Doors open to the public at 6:30 pm.
