Shana Tova! JCRC-NY to Host Coney Island Rosh Hashanah Celebration

Prominent elected officials, community leaders, and Holocaust survivors will join JCRC-NY and JCCGCI on Tuesday to bring in a sweet New Year.

CONEY ISLAND, NY (09/14/2026) (readMedia)-- On Tuesday morning, the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) and Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) will host a celebration of the Jewish New Year, 5787, with community leaders and elected officials in Coney Island. Attendees will partake in the customs of Rosh Hashanah to deepen their understanding of the meaning and significance of the holiday. 20 Holocaust survivors will also attend, making this a particularly meaningful celebration of Jewish resilience and the enduring traditions that connect generations.
