Shaping the Future Today

MIPGC hosts giving conference in Ankeny

DES MOINES, IA (10/15/2019) (readMedia)-- ONE WEEK LEFT TO JOIN IN! The future of our nonprofit community depends on the planned giving we do today. Boards and fundraisers are continually seeing a focus on measuring the sustainability of our nonprofits. An integral way of doing this? Through planned giving.

Meeting donor expectations, promoting charitable giving, what types of gifts this includes and how to use them – all are topics that will be covered at the Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Conference on Tuesday, October 22 at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny. Join us for a full day of empowering you and enhancing your planned giving program while helping your donors leave a legacy.

The conference features an incredible, nationally recognized speaker lineup, including several sessions by Kathryn Miree, the author of the Family Foundation Handbook and the Professional Advisor's Guide to Planned Giving. The lunch keynote will be an energizing session provided by Jamie Pollard, Iowa State University athletic director, addressing the topic of successfully raising funds for athletics, even when your teams are not winning championships. In addition to a day of learning and networking, the conference has been approved for 7.5 CFRE credits, 5.5 CFP credits and 4 CLE credit hours.

"We are spoiled here as our speakers are as good as those at national conferences and it is a fraction of the cost!" was a 2018 conference evaluation comment.
