Shelby Marter Attends Women's Leadership Institute

HOUGHTON, MI (10/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Shelby Marter of Pinconning attended the recent Women's Leadership Institute at Michigan Technological University.
The Institute is a new program designed to help female high school students prepare for success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) studies and careers. The Institute consisted of team building and social activities, mentoring, and interactive programming meant to help the women develop their leadership skills.
Hundreds of women across the nation were invited to apply, and only 21 were invited to the Institute. The program was conducted by Amy Climer, an educator and facilitator of leadership development, creativity, and innovation.
Shelby is the daughter of Sheri and Marc Marter.
