You are invited to join Des Moines University (DMU) students, faculty, alumni and staff for a 5k through the beautiful south of Grand neighborhood around DMU.
The August 15 race, called DMU Run-Day-Voo, will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the circle drive in front of the Des Moines University Academic Center (north entrance), 3440 Grand Avenue. This is the second year of the annual run (ie. Run-Day-Voo 2!). Awards will be given for overall winners.
Participants can run or walk. Register at www.dmu.edu/RSVP/DMU5k for only $15, or, beginning at 7 a.m. the day of the race, register for $20. Registration includes the cost of a race t-shirt.
Race packets can be picked up on Thursday, August 13, 4-6 p.m. or Friday, August 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Student Education Center, 3300 Grand Ave., or the day of the event, 7-7:20 a.m. at the start line.
The DMU Osteopathic Finish Line student group will provide supervised osteopathic manipulation treatments to race participants and supporters.
