WINSTON SALEM, NC (05/31/2013)(readMedia)-- Jillian Correia of Simsbury, CT, is the recipient of the Nancy Susan Reynolds Scholarship to attend Wake Forest University in the fall.
The four-year scholarship is one of the most selective in the nation. Each winner receives an annual stipend covering the costs of tuition, room, board and personal expenses plus grant opportunities for summer research, travel and international study.
Reynolds Scholars are typically at the top one percent of their class and are chosen for their unusual distinction in the classroom and their exceptional civic leadership potential. The scholarship was established in 1982 in honor of Nancy Susan Reynolds by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.
Correia, the daughter of Daniel Correia and Lisa Butterfield, graduated from Simsbury High School in 2012.
