South Milwaukee native honored by Marquette University's College of Arts and Sciences

MILWAUKEE, WI (07/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Christine Simmons, daughter of Timothy and Julie Simmons, was honored with the Freshman Frontier Program 2012 Frank Mazzulla Award from Marquette University's Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. Simmons graduated in May with a bachelor of arts in communication studies.

The award recognizes an outstanding senior who represents Marquette's core values of service, excellence, leadership and faith.

At Marquette, Simmons was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society, the executive board of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication Student Council, the McCabe Hall Residence Hall Council, Hunger Clean-Up and other volunteer experiences. Simmons was also a Freshman Frontier Program peer counselor and Freshman Frontier Program telethon caller.
