NEW YORK, NY (12/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Good government advocates will host a round table discussion on Council rules reform featuring the leading candidates for NYC Council Speaker.
Common Cause/NY and the Human Rights Project at the Urban Justice Center (HRP) have previously sent letters to speaker candidates soliciting their position on several key issues including member Items, committee structure, and the overall centralization of power within the Council. The round table will be moderated by Fordham University Professor, Christina Greer and Common Cause/NY Executive Director, Susan Lerner.
