Spear Farm Tops Iowa State Fair Super Bull Competition

DES MOINES, IA (08/10/2017) (readMedia)-- "Upward," the 2,798 pound Angus bull owned by Marvin Spear of Indianola, outweighed the competition to win the Super Bull contest judged Thursday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Moody Farms of Maxwell, took second place with their 2,766 pound Simmental bull, "Boardwalk," and Kokemiller Farms of Madrid took third place with his 2,567 pound Hereford bull, "Vern."

"Upward," as well as the Big Boar and Big Ram, will be on display at the Iowa State Fair in the Cattle, Swine and Sheep Barns, respectively, through August 20.
