St. Aug Signs New Player for Female Basketball Program

RALEIGH, NC (07/25/2012)(readMedia)-- St. Aug recently signed South Holland, Illinois native, Tahsha Unique Mitchell to their Lady Falcon basketball program. Mitchell is a 6'0 post player, who has already earned an Associates of Arts degree from Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri.

According to Mitchell, her biggest accomplishments thus far have been, making the dean's list at Moberly and scoring a career high of 18 pts against Neosho County Community College during her freshman season.

"We are extremely thrilled and excited that Tahsha is on board with our program," said Rachel Bullard, head coach for the Lady Falcons basketball team. "She embodies a first class mentality and I am sure her talents will improve our program. She shows signs of an excellent leader and I cannot wait to get her on campus."

Bullard is not the only one excited. "My excitement about attending Saint Augustine's University this fall knows no bounds. I am nothing but thrilled to know that I am about to attend a school, in which I believe will further not only my basketball career, but also my academics," said Mitchell.
