OSWEGO, NY (10/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Robert Zabronsky of Stamford will be inducted into the Oswego Athletic Hall of Fame at the 10th annual ceremony and dinner 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Sheldon Hall ballroom on the SUNY Oswego campus.
Zabronsky, a 1982 SUNY Oswego graduate, will be recognized for his achievements in soccer.
He earned all-conference first team honors in each year he played as a goalie for the Lakers. He went on to play for two years in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
Today Zabronsky coaches for Stamford Youth Soccer and at the Jewish Community Center, where he is also a member of the board of directors.
The Oswego Alumni Association established the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001 to honor players and coaches who made outstanding contributions to Oswego State athletics. Oswego graduates and former athletes Charles Wiltse, James Hauptfleisch, Eileen Sommers, Barry Dillon and Michael Snell also will be honored along with former Oswego employee Dick Johnson at this year's ceremony.
