Stanbridge University Occupational Therapy Graduate Students Celebrated at White Coat Ceremony
The inaugural Master of Science in Occupational Therapy cohort at the Riverside campus, MSOTRS001, recently participated in the 2023 Stanbridge University White Coat Ceremony and Academic Showcase on July 28.
The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage in each student's journey towards a healthcare career before they move onto Level II fieldwork to gain competency in entry-level practice. It celebrates their dedication to helping clients, commitment to holistic care, and fostering community between peers, faculty, and practicing occupational therapists.
The day's Academic Showcase was an opportunity for students to present their thesis projects. Students had the opportunity to share their work and discuss its impact on patient care. These presentations highlighted a variety of topics ranging from cultural humility in occupational therapy curriculum design, therapeutic gardening, and robotics in special needs interventions.
