On December 6, 2025, swing by the Barksdale's State Fair Cookie Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds to stock up on pre-portioned, ready-to-bake chocolate chip cookie dough. It's perfect for gifts, gatherings, or simply keeping that Fair flavor alive all winter long.

Each bag includes 36 pre-portioned frozen cookies for $12. The frozen cookies are the same size as the cookies sold in buckets and cups during the Fair.

The Iowa State Fair is the single largest event in the state of Iowa and one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country. In 2019, the Joe Barksdale family gifted his famous warm chocolate chip cookie business to the people of Iowa through the Iowa State Fair. In 2020, the new Barksdale's State Fair Cookie Building was built to continue Joe's legacy. Today, the building bakes thousands of chocolate chip cookies for special events and the 11-day Iowa State Fair scheduled for August 13-23, 2026.
