State Parks Expands Preservation Planning Meeting Schedule
ALBANY, NY (11/09/2007)(readMedia)-- The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is currently developing New York's five-year statewide historic preservation plan and is seeking the public's input regarding issues, opportunities, and needs associated with historic preservation activities across the state from organizations, private enterprises, governments, and interested individuals. Several more public meetings have been scheduled in an effort to engage as many New Yorkers as possible in the planning process.

NEW YORK CITY – November 28, 2007, 1:30 p.m., Ukrainian Institute of America, 2nd Floor Ballroom, 2 East 79th Street (#6 Subway, 77th Street station).
LONG ISLAND – November 29, 2007, 2:00 p.m., Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities’ headquarters at 161 Main Street, Cold Spring Harbor (landmark church opposite the post office).
ITHACA – December 10, 2007, 11:00 a.m., City Hall, Common Council Chamber, 108 East Green Street.
WATERFORD (CAPITAL DISTRICT) – December 12, 2007, 3:00 p.m., Peebles Island Resource Center Collections Care Center Auditorium, Peebles Island State Park.
YONKERS – December 17, 2007, 10:30 a.m., Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, Warburton Avenue and Dock Street.
