STAUNTON, VA (10/25/2010)(readMedia)-- Matt Sensabaugh, Horticulturist for the City of Staunton was overwhelmed by the crowd at the annual plant giveaway held Friday, October 22nd in Gypsy Hill Park. The crowd of about 200 perused the truck beds loaded with plants from the 2010 city bed plantings. Plant enthusiasts paced and plotted their course as they waited for the official start of the Fall 2010 Give-Away. Instead of disposing of the plants, the horticulture staff tries to find them new homes in and around Staunton.

With the adoptions of the used plants the city feels good about plant recycling and Matt Sensabaugh his helper Terry Bonner receive auxiallary assistance in the form of hundreds of volunteers helping him make Staunton beautiful via vibrant and colorful plantings in yards all over Staunton.
