VALPARAISO, IN (09/23/2010)(readMedia)-- Steven Heronemus will be one of 16 alumni and volunteers recognized by the Valparaiso University Alumni Association during Homecoming festivities at the University this weekend. The honorees will be recognized during a special worship service at 10 a.m., September 26 in the Chapel of the Resurrection.
Heronemus of Batavia, a 1982 graduate, will be honored with the Alumni Community Service Award, recognizing those who have performed outstanding service in their community.
Heronemus currently is self-employed as a consultant, working in Illinois as well as Germany. He presently is associated with IT Services Management Foundation and also has served as vice president to the IT Strategic Planning Special Interest Group. Heronemus was named Cap Gemini People Manager of the Year in 2007 and also has published methodologies for businesses. His volunteer service is extensive, including roles with Supporting Theater Arts for a Greater Education, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Batavia Schools Referendum Committee, and other local organizations.
