Students Give SUNY Delhi High Marks

DELHI, NY (11/14/2015)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi ranks among the Top Five in the State University of New York system in 20 key categories, according to results of the Student Opinion Survey (SOS) conducted earlier this year.

"SUNY Delhi provides students with an exceptional education experience and our students agree, based on the survey results," said President Candace S. Vancko. "I'm very proud to be among the best in SUNY in academic performance measures including quality of instruction."

SUNY Delhi ranks in the Top 5 in SUNY in quality of instruction, general academic advising, academic advising in the major, opportunities for community service, been involved in community service or service learning activities as part of a course or academic program, engaged in research or other creative projects under the guidance of a faculty member, received feedback from instructors on the quality of work, and had faculty who required the student to make judgements about the value of information, arguments of methods.

In addition, SUNY Delhi ranks number one in SUNY's technology sector by students for the best overall impression of quality of education; developing leadership skills; writing assignments; acquiring information, ideas and concepts; and being intellectually stimulated by the material covered in class. Delhi's fine and performing arts studios, cultural programs and intra-campus transportation, also were also top ranked in among technology sector colleges.

The Student Opinion Survey is administered to a random sample of undergraduates throughout the SUNY system every three years to determine satisfaction with academic programs, services and facilities provided by the State University and its campuses.
