ROCHESTER, NY (07/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Horace Huntington Smith, Ph.D., has accepted the position of Associate Vice President for Student Support Services and Director of HEOP.
Smith, of Syracuse, N.Y., has a bachelor's degree from Hampton University, a master's in special education for emotionally disturbed adolescents from Syracuse University, and a doctorate in psychology from Cornell University. He recently served as interim director for HEOP/Excel programs at Nazareth. Prior to joining the College, Smith has most recently been associate vice president and executive director for the Partnership for Better Education at Syracuse University.
Founded in 1924, Nazareth College is a coeducational college with undergraduate and graduate studies in the liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in health and human services, education, and management. The College is located on 150 scenic acres near Rochester, New York, and currently enrolls approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students.
