BROOKLYN, NY (06/12/2026) (readMedia)-- Today, June 12, Phoenix House New York's Brooklyn Community Recovery Center invites community members to the opening reception and documentary screening for UN-TOLD, an immersive art exhibition showcasing the work of more than 111 New Yorkers in recovery. The exhibit is the culmination of a yearlong creative journey made possible through Phoenix House's Art of Advocacy program - a three-year SAMHSA-funded initiative designed to foster healing, community, and self-expression through the arts.
Featuring painting, ceramics, weaving, photography, and more, UN-TOLD offers a powerful testament to the role of creativity and community resilience in recovery. The exhibit reflects personal narratives and collective strength, celebrating how art can loosen the grip of the past and weave new possibilities for healing. UN-TOLD also features the screening of a documentary chronicling the program's third and final year.
