Taylor Smith earns Oglethorpe University Female Athlete of the Week honor

Junior Taylor Smith of the Oglethorpe University women's basketball team was named the Oglethorpe Female Athlete of the Week (Nov. 24-30). A Politics major, Smith is a graduate of American Heritage High School.

Smith scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Stormy Petrels' 80-58 win over Covenant College on Tuesday, Nov. 26. She went 11-for-15 from the field and made three steals. Smith is currently second in the SAA in offensive rebounds with 23, and is fifth in field-goal percentage (52.5) and steals (16).
